About Me

We have lived in Charlton Down since early 2003. Like you, we were attracted by the promise of a new village with a shop and a pub.

Well, today, I am still wishing that we had a local shop; we ran out of milk tonight, and to make sure the kids could have some breakfast, I took a drive to Tesco. I’m sure we’ve all been there!

Having lived in a village for some time before moving here, I know how important a local shop is to village life.

After 21 years of Service to Her Majesty, I have decided to leave the field of Air Engineering and move into retail; a big jump!

I want to make the Charlton Down Village Shop a key part of the fabric of our village life.
